Meade Schools have been in fantastic shape over the month of April. As a result there have been few quarantines to report. At times the numbers have been zero. KSHSAA requirements to wear masks for outdoor activities ended May 1, 2021. Please remember if you have not received a vaccine, they are available through the Meade County Health Dept. MJH took the track at Kiowa County and posted great times and distances on a beautiful day for a track meet.
Congratulations to our MHS golfers! Brayden and Kaya PR’d and Ian Unruh placed 12th out of 70+ golfers. The team persevered through a difficult course on a warm-windy day.

Boys Tennis Update:
-Tuesday's JV Boys Tennis Home Meet has been cancelled. They will instead play in Cimarron on Monday afternoon. More info to come.
-Monday's Varsity Boys Tennis Home Meet has been moved to Tuesday, beginning at 3:00pm.
Track & Field Update:
-Regional assignments and state meet schedules are out with several changes from previous years
-Regionals will be at Kiowa Co. on Thursday, May 20th starting with field events at 3pm
-The 1A State meet will be all on one day at WSU on Saturday, May 29th

13 entries. Konner and Kody won the back bracket so they went 3-1 on the day. Great job guys and coaches!
Congrats to the Meade High School Golf Team! They competed in cold and windy conditions against five other teams and came home with a second place finish. Ian Unruh placed 3rd, Trace Hegwood placed 6th, Kaya Hartnett placed 7th and Jaryn Knott placed 14th.

Both the MHS and MJH Graduation will be held in the MHS Gym this year. Seating capacity in the bleachers and on the floor will be adequate to allow for physical distancing with normal attendance. Families will be encouraged to sit in groups. Masks will be optional at this time unless an increase in COVID cases requires a change.

CONGRATULATIONS, Vance! Vance Shewey now holds the MHS high jump record with a jump of 6' 6 3/4". Prior to his record breaking jump, Vance held the record along with Joel Spencer, both clearing 6'6".
