Emily is bringing 21 years of teaching experience to our district! She began her career in Garden City and has spent the last 8 years teaching in Fowler. Throughout her career, she’s been a classroom teacher, interventionist, and special education teacher.
Emily and her husband, Derrick, have two kids—Colt (a sophomore) and Sariah (7th grade)—and an energetic German Shorthaired Pointer named Gunner. Their family loves spending time outdoors camping, hiking, swimming, and traveling together.
Some of Emily’s favorite things include cheering on the Texas Longhorns 🧡🤘, butterflies 🦋, the color red ❤️, Diet Coke 🥤, and reading 📚.
We’re so excited to have her as part of the Meade school district! 💜
