Meade JV finished their evening at the Spearville JH JV Quiz Bowl Meet with a (5-4) record. This was good enough to place them in a 4-way tie for 3rd place! Super proud of this group!

Good luck to our MHS Track team! Come out to cheer for our Buffaloes as we host our first meet of the season Friday, April 1st. Field events begin at 3:00pm. The 4x800 will start at 4:30pm followed by the remaining running events at 5:00pm.

MJH Quiz Bowl Update
Meade JV took 1st Place at the Minneola Junior High Quiz Bowl Meet this evening! They ended the evening at 8-0 in Round Robin action.
Meade's Varsity was met with tough competition and ended with a 6-4 record for the evening. This was good enough to place them into a 4-way tie for 3rd.

Our Junior class had a great day experiencing the Ellinwood Underground as they wrapped up their novel study of The Great Gatsby. Our students and their teacher, Lori Biger, were able to enjoy a nice, cold sarsaparilla and learn about life underground.

Meade Varsity took 1st Place & the JV team earned 2nd Place medals at the Bucklin JH Quiz Bowl Meet this evening! Both teams were in a three-way tie for their respective places and came out on the winning end. Congratulations, Jr. Buffs!

MJH Track Schedule Change
The 54 Relays meet scheduled for Tuesday, March 29th at SWHJH has been moved to Thursday, March 31st. The meet will begin at 4:00pm. Our online calendar has been adjusted to reflect the change.

Our USD 226 School Board approved the attached calendar for 2022-23. Following KSHSAA guidelines, fall sports practices are scheduled to begin Monday, August 15th. School begins on Tuesday, August 16th. The last day of school is Thursday, May 18th.

Congratulations to our Buffalo team! Tonight our boys defeated Satanta by a score of 51-50. They will take on the South Gray Rebels in the Sub-State Championship game on Saturday at 5:30pm.

There were 12 teams in each of the Varsity & JV Round Robin Tournaments. Our JV team finished with a 6-5 record to finish the night in a 3-way tie for 5th.

Last Friday federal guidelines changed for wearing masks on school transportation: "Effective February 25, 2022, CDC does not require wearing of masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs." As a result starting Monday, wearing of masks will not be required on Meade school vehicles.

Meade took 4th out of 17 schools at the Larned Powerlifting Meet. We had ten lifters. The top three schools were 4A with over 30 lifters. We had a great day!
Cullen Lumry: 2nd in class; PR in total weight lifted
Korben Clawson: 2nd in class; PR and school record in bench & squat; PR in total weight lifted
Josh Hughes: 3rd in class; PR in all 3 lifts and total weight lifted
Brady Papay: won his class with 1st in bench & squats and 2nd in cleans
Grayden Stapleton: 2nd in his class; PR and school record in bench; PR in total weight lifted
Brayden Norris: tied several PRs
Harrison Bachman: 3rd in class; 2nd in bench and cleans;3rd in squats; PR in cleans

Sub-State Tournament Update:
Our Buffaloes will play Satanta Thursday at 6:00pm. Our Lady Buffs will play South Central Friday at 6:00pm. All the games will be played in Montezuma.
