REMINDER: Our MJH band students will participate in the SPIAA League Instrumental Festival tomorrow in Minneola. Their performance is scheduled for 11:30am. The bus will depart for Minneola at 10:00am. Participating students need to come to school in their performance clothes. Thank you!
MHS Athletic Physicals are TOMORROW, Tuesday, May 2nd beginning at 8:30am. AVHS will be conducting the physicals. The cost is $25.00. The physical forms are available in the high school office as well as on the KSHSAA website - https://www.kshsaa.org/Public/PDF/FORM-PPE.pdf. Parents/Guardians need to sign the form and have the payment ready prior to the physical. Please contact the high school for more information.
The MES/MJH physicals are scheduled for Tuesday, May 9th.

Our MJH Choir, under the direction of Mr. Rempel, had a great day at their SPIAA Choir Festival last week. Holly Ramsey's performance earned a II. Bayleigh Canton, Kellie Miller, and Emanuel Pichilla each earned a I on their solos. Our Women's Ensemble, and Men's Ensemble both earned a I rating. Our Mixed Choir's performance earned a II, I, and I. Congratulations MJH on an excellent day!
Our state musicians had an amazing day at Kansas Wesleyan! Kate Parker, Holly Reimer, and Alek Holguin all received 1 ratings on solos! Orvin Dyck also performed well and received a 2 rating on his solo. The men's ensemble had an impressive performance today with a 1 rating as their reward! The hours of preparation and hard work really payed off this contest season. Way to go Buffs!

Chandler and James earned 2nd place at our home JV meet. Issac took home the 3rd place medal 🏅!

Meade played tennis in the cold weather today in Garden City. There was a lot of strong competition. Vincent went 2-2 for 7th place in singles, defeating Larned, and Dodge, falling to Scott City and Dodge. Kody and K.J. went 2-2, defeating Garden City and Larned, and falling to Dodge City R and Dodge City B. Orvin and Samuel brought home the 5th place medal going 3-1 for the day, defeating Great Bend, Dodge City, and Hays, while falling to Scott City. Proud of these guys! One more regular season meet next week in Great Bend. Go Buffs! 🎾💜

Our Junior High students had a very successful day competing in the Cimarron track meet today. There were many personal records set, and three school records were broken!
The 7th Grade Boys Javelin throw was broken by Wyatt Pippitt at 66' 0" and then broken again by Logan Bird with a throw of 66' 0.5".
The 8th Grade Boys Javelin was broken by Colt Dizmang, who threw 89' 4".
The 8th Grade Girls 4x400 relay comprised of Joslyn Helus, Eliana Zortman, Kenadie Alexander, and Sayler Stapleton set the new record at 4:49.45.

Meade took 4th at the Dodge City Invitational today! Samuel and Orvin won the Championship in doubles, and Vincent took 4th in singles. Everyone played some tough competition and had a great day of tennis!
