Our Varsity Scholar’s Bowl team went 5 and 5 on our first meet of the season at Ashland, tying for 5th place. Everyone worked hard, and we're very excited to see where this season goes! The team for the first meet was:

MJH Basketball Information:
Our junior high basketball season begins on Monday, October 16th. Below is the practice schedule for the first week.
*Monday - Both the boys and the girls teams will meet in the cafeteria and gym at 2:50 - 3:25PM. (Fowler kids will ride the Fowler bus home.)
*Tuesday - Girls shuttle to MHS and practice from 2:50PM - 4:30PM; Boys will practice at MES/MJH from 2:50-4:30PM.
*Wednesday/Thursday - Girls will practice early from 2:50-4:30PM @ MES/MJH, followed by boys from 4:30-6:00PM.
*Friday - Girls/Boys share gym 2:50-3:25PM - (Fowler kids will ride the Fowler bus home.)
The Parent/Guardian Informational Meeting will be held Tuesday, October 24th at 7:00pm at MES/MJH.
REGIONAL CROSS COUNTRY SHIRTS INFORMATION
Please visit https://regionalxc.itemorder.com/shop/home/ to order your 2023 Regional Cross Country shirt. Orders are due by Friday, October 13th.
There will be a limited number shirts avaialbe at the meet on Saturday, October 21st. Additionally, there is the possibility of ordering on meet day and receiving your shirts at a later date. However, it would be ideal to have all orders placed by the 13th so they can be picked up at the Regional meet.

The MHS Lady Buffaloes took to the court at regionals in Conway Springs Friday, October 6. Representing the Buffaloes were Singles- Aby Dyck and Lainey Jones, Doubles- Holly Reimer/Bethany Reimer and Evie Strickland/Lily Anna Bussen. Holly and Behtany were seeded 7th in the doubles bracket. The others had play in matches. Lainey lost her play in to South Central. Evie/Lily lost their ay in match to South Central. Aby Dyck won her play in match against St. Marys-Caldron. This put her playing the #2 seed Wichita Colleigate, where she lost, putting her out of the bracket. Reimer/Reimer won their first round match against Ashland 6-3, 6-3. They then played the #2 seed Conway Springs, where they lost 2-6, 3-6. Going into Saturday, Remiers faced Chaparral, where the winner was guarantees a place at state. Chaparral won the first set 6-4, Meade took the second set 7-5, and they battled to lost the third set 5-7. They played in court for around 2.5 hours. What a match and a great battle! We came up short, but overall enjoyed a great season of tennis! We will sure miss our senior Holly next year, but looking forward to a new year of tennis growth.
