CONGRATULATIONS to our MHS Football team! They defeated WaKeeney-Trego County to be crowned Regional Champions. They will travel to Goessel Friday evening to take on the Bluebirds in the Sectional match-up. Kick-off is scheduled for 6:00pm. Good luck, Buffaloes!

This is the KSHSAA Buffer Week. The moratorium for school-sponsored athletic activities begins Monday, November 8th and ends Sunday, November 14th. According to the KSHSAA guidelines students can not practice formally or informally, condition, or work out in a school-owned facility. Additionally, student-athletes can not participate in athletic practices under the supervision of a school staff member in non-school facilities. Football teams qualifying for post-season play are exempt from Buffer Week; therefore, our Buffaloes will be practicing all week for their Sectional game on Friday.
MJH will host their first basketball game of the season this week. Our teams will take on Kiowa County. The C-team games begin at 2:15pm in the DP Gym. All our MJH basketball games will take place in the DP Gym this year. Please watch our Google Calendar and social media updates for game times as they may change according to the number of games that are played.
Be sure to mark your calendars for Thursday and Saturday evenings. Our MHS choir and band have two nights of great musical entertainment planned for you. The good times begin at 7:00pm at MHS. The MTA will be hosting a soup supper Saturday evening beginning at 5:00pm. Come out and enjoy a delicious bowl of soup and a cinnamon roll. All the proceeds from the meal will be donated to a scholarship fund to assist our MHS students taking college classes.
Our K-6th grade students will attend the Wichita Children's Theater performances in Satanta this week. Our K-3rd grade students will be entertained by their production of Alice in Wonderland on Tuesday. Our 4th-6th grade students will enjoy School House Rock Live on Wednesday. A BIG BUFFALO THANK YOU to the Satanta Area Arts Council and the Satanta Elementary School for including our students. We appreciate their thoughtfulness.
