Mini Spelling Bee students

Congratulations to our Mini Spelling Bee Champion, Harley Carrillo, and our Runner-Up, Grady Krier! All our super spellers did a great job demonstrating their skills. We are proud of you!

Mr. Rempel and his talented Kindergarten through 3rd grade students have been busy preparing the fun program, "How Does Your Garden Grow," for you to enjoy. The seeds have sprouted, the rain has come, and petals bloom brightly in the sun.  But what's this?  The weeds are taking over!  Come join the fun on Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm in the Meade Elementary Auditorium. The public is invited to attend.

Ms. Huckaby's and Mrs. Keith's 3rd grade students have been putting their research skills to work while learning about some of their favorite, influential people from the past and present. They will host a biographical interactive wax museum Wednesday. Visitors will have the opportunity to "meet" historical and modern day characters. Come hear the character's life story with just a simple push of the button. The museum hours are 10:15-11:30am and 1:30-2:30pm.

Lifetime Smiles will be at MES/MJH on Wednesday. This is a free school-based dental screening provided by Lifetime Smiles from Genesis Family Health in Garden City. Informative notes have been sent home with students. Parents/Guardians are asked to complete the form and return it to school by Wednesday.  For  more information, please contact the Meade County Health Department at 620.873.8745.

Good luck to our MHS Choir and Band students! They will perform at the KSHSAA State Music - Large Groups Festival on Wednesday in Dodge City.
