Welcome back from a nice four-day weekend! We have less than six weeks left in our school year. Time flies when we are having fun!
Looking at the the list below you can see it is going to be a busy week for USD 226. Our 1st through 4th grade spellers get a chance to showcase their skills on Wednesday. The public is invited to attend. We are so excited for our seniors as they get a chance to hold a mock trial at the Meade County Courthouse! What a great learning experience for our students.
Last week MES/MJH hosted the 2023 SPIAA 5th-8th Grade Math Contest. Approximately 160 mathletes from 14 schools participated in the areas of Problem Solving, Geometry, and Mental Math. Representing MES/MJH were 5th graders Abby Cunningham, Tyi Neel, and Ava Tacha. Our 6th grade team consisted of Katelyn Cordes, Kenna Cordes, and Nathan Ritter. Our junior high students included 7th graders Wyatt Pippitt, Titus Ritter, and Addison Tacha. Camdyn Flavin, Saul Mendoza, and Rowdy Schlinker competed for our 8th grade team. We are proud of all our students!
