GOOD LUCK to our MHS Basketball teams as they begin their Sub-State Tournament this week. Our Buffaloes will take on Elkhart Monday evening at 7:00pm at MHS. Our Lady Buffaloes will face-off against Oakley at home with a 6:00pm tip-off. Remember passes are not accepted. Admission is $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for students. The semi-finals and finals will be played in Syracuse.
Spring sports practices begin this week. This includes MHS Boys' Tennis, coached by Mrs. Lynn, MJH and MHS Track coached by Ms. Marceau and Mr. Daugherty, respectively, and MHS Golf coached by Mr. Saucedo.
Time flies when we are having fun! Friday marks the end of the third term of this school year. It is hard to believe we have less than 50 school days left in the 2022-23 school year.
MHS is taking about 40 of our students, mostly juniors and sophomores, to Dodge City Community College, Wednesday, March 1st. They will be looking ahead at different options for next school year. The students will attend a general session about DCCC. Then they will go to breakout presentations to learn about the CTE programs/certifications DCCC has for high school students, based on interests and career goals. Students will be able to attend three sessions, enjoy a great lunch, and will return to school in the early afternoon.
Good luck to our MJH Quiz Bowl and MHS Forensics teams! They have a busy week of competitions and performances.
REMINDERS: Students will not have school on Friday, March 10th. That day is scheduled as a Teachers' Workday. School will be closed for Spring Break from Monday, March 13th through Friday, March 17th. Classes will resume on Monday, March 20th. Classes will be dismissed at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 21st for Parent/Teacher Conferences.
