This week our Kayettes will celebrate KAY Citizenship Week. They will complete service activities throughout the week. They will begin by decorating the high school for the holiday season. Along with our NHS students, they will pack food boxes for Numana, an international hunger relief organization. Our Kayettes also have other activities for service and citizenship planned for the week.
Wednesday our 5th through 12th grade students will attend a Fentanyl Awareness Presentation at the high school. Cody Parr, of the Ford County Sheriff's Office, will be sharing his knowledge with our students and staff. The public is invited to attend. The presentation will begin at 2:00pm in the MHS auditorium.
Our MHS Basketball team will compete in the BlueJay Invitational Tournament. Our teams will play on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Saturday's schedule of play and opponents will be determined by the outcome of games played on Tuesday and Thursday.
Please remember as we head into basketball season that the C team and JV games are subject to change based on the number of athletes available to participate. We will always be optimistic for full C and JV games, but at times circumstances will change causing a team to shorten or completely remove a C-Team or JV game. We will always do our best to keep our fans informed and up-to-date with accurate information through our Live Feed and Facebook page.
Our MES/MJH PTO is hosting a Winter Fest on Sunday, December 11th, from 2:00-5:00pm in the grade school gym and cafeteria. MES/MJH students can participate in an indoor snowball fight, make a Christmas ornament craft, enjoy cookies and cocoa from the Hot Cocoa Bar, write letters to Santa, and get their pictures taken with the Grinch. It is sure to be a grand time! The cost is $5.00 per student with an extra charge for Grinch pictures.
LOOKING AHEAD: The Kindergarten through 6th Grade Christmas Program will be Monday, December 12th, at 7:00pm in the MHS auditorium. The MJH & MHS Christmas Program will be Monday, December 19th, at 7:00pm in the MHS auditorium.
