This is the last week of the first term. USD 226 will host Parent/Guardian/Teacher Conferences on Monday, October 23rd and Tuesday, October 24th. Conferences are scheduled to begin at 4:00pm and end at 8:00pm. Schedule notes will be sent home with our PS-6th grade students. Parents and guardians of our 7th-12th grade students can attend conferences on a come & go basis at MHS and MES/MJH cafeteria.

Good luck to our MHS Scholar's Bowl team! They begin their season Monday in Ashland.
The Meade County Health Department will be in the schools Wednesday to administer flu shots. Students who were signed up during enrollment will receive the shot. If you did not request for your student to receive the shot, but would like for them to, please call the MCHD at 620.873.8745 prior to Wednesday.
Friday is the last regular season football game. Our team will travel to Elkhart to take on the Wildcats. Next week we begin the football play-offs. Meade is scheduled to play their first round game on Thursday, October 26th.
GOOD LUCK to our MHS Cross Country runners! They will compete Saturday for a chance to run at State. Meade and South Gray are co-hosting the meet at the Meade Golf Course. The top three (3) teams from each regional will qualify for the State meet along with the top ten individual runners and top five runners from non-qualifying teams (if not in the top ten).
GOOD LUCK to our MHS Volleyball team! They will travel to Syracuse and compete for their opportunity to qualify for State Volleyball. Play is scheduled to begin at 2:00pm CST. The winning team from each sub-state will qualify for State.
