August came and went in a flash. We begin September at the end of this week. Please remember we will NOT have school Monday, September 4th. Enjoy a safe and relaxing Labor Day weekend.
Jennifer Godfrey will be at the high school Monday to finish taking Fall sports pictures. This will be for football and cheer only. Order forms have been sent home with our student-athletes.
This is a busy week for our MJH and MHS student athletes. Every sport will be competing.
Our MHS Volleyball girls will compete in their first quad of the season on Tuesday in Bucklin. They will take on Bucklin, Pawnee Heights, and Kinsley. Play begins at 4:00pm. The schedule of play will be pushed out on our Live Feed and Facebook. Good luck, MHS Volleyball!
Tennis is in full swing. Our girls competed in Dodge City last week where Holly Reimer and Bethany Reimer took first place in doubles, and Aby Dyck earned 3rd place in singles. Way to work, ladies! This week the team will travel to Cimarron for a JV meet and Kiowa for a varsity meet. Good luck, MHS Tennis!
Our MJH Volleyball and Football teams will begin their seasons at Spearville. Volleyball begins at 4:00pm. Football is set to start at 6:30pm. Good luck, MJH!
MJH and MHS will host the first Cross Country meet of the season. Races will begin at 4:00pm at the Meade Golf Course. Admission is free. Our Cross Country teams are looking forward to providing their fans with another great season and appreciate your support. Good luck to our Cross Country teams!
Friday, our MHS Football team will host their season opener against South Central. With several returning starters, they are anticipating another great year. Kickoff is set for 7:00pm at MHS. Good luck, MHS Football!
A BIG BUFFALO THANK YOU goes out to the Meade State Bank. They are "buying out" the admission so everyone can enjoy free admission to the game. We appreciate their continued support. Friends of the Buffaloes will be serving a pulled pork meal during the game. It will be a free-will donation.
MARK YOU CALENDAR: Strawbridge Studios will be in the District on Wednesday, September 6th, to take our Fall portraits. Pictures can be ordered and paid for online. Our MES/MJH parents/guardians can access Strawbridge Studio for MES/MJH to place an order and utilize the pay online option. Our high school parents/guardians need to select Strawbridge Studio for MHS to order and pay for their student's pictures. Retakes are scheduled for Thursday, October 26th.
